Is the hotel accessible for customer with disabilities?
Yes, everyone is welcome and accommodated. We have wheelchair ramps for the restaurant and reception areas and we also have adapted rooms. This is noted as a twin room at the hotel, however it will be easier to call us to discuss your specific needs, we are more than happy to help.
How many people can stay in a room, do you allow extra beds?
All our rooms are suitable for two people. Some of our larger Relaxed rooms can accommodate an extra person comfortably as they include a sofa bed which can be made up on request. In addition we have Z beds for children up to 10, these are suitable in Relaxed and some Retro Deluxe rooms. If you require extra beds please let us know, if possible in advance, so we can have it ready for you.
Are children welcome at the hotel?
We are all big kids here! See above our notes on extra beds and cots. We also provide toys boxes at reception for the little ones. Call or email us and we can help ensure they are well entertained. We also have lots for the kids to do locally, check it out under our EXPLORE section of the website.
Does the price include breakfast?
The rates we quote are ROOM ONLY. Coppa Club offer a delicious à la carte breakfast menu which allows you to tailor your breakfast choice and is cooked to your specific requirements.
Can I cancel a booking?
It depends on what you book. We have pre-paid and flexible rates. Our lowest rates are prepaid, and non-refundable and these cannot be cancelled. If you cannot stay for whatever reason unfortunately you will still be charged. If you book our flexible rate then you can cancel up to 3pm the day before arrival at no charge, otherwise fees will apply. Group bookings will have different cancellation polies depending on its size, and you will be advised of these when you book. You need to cancel via the original booking partner if your booking wasn’t made with us.
Can I book multiple rooms?
You can book up to 4 rooms online. If you need a larger group then just contact us with your requirements and we will be happy to help. We will offer a rate for the group and facilitate the guest names for each room and advise the cancellation policy. For groups up to 10 there is a 7 day cancellation and for groups over 10 it is 14 days.
Can I book on behalf of someone else?
Absolutely. On our booking pages you can fill in your details as the “booker” with another guest name. Just take note if it is a prepaid reservation, otherwise the guest will still need to pay on arrival. If there are no prepaid rates showing, or you need flexibility then please contact us and we’ll be able to send you a credit card authorisation form.
When will my credit card be charged?
Depends on the rate you’ve booked. Prepaid rates will be charged immediately or shortly after booking. Otherwise your card won’t be charged until you check in at the hotel
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and all bedrooms and the public areas.
Can I have interconnecting rooms?
Yes we do. You just need to request this at the time of booking.
Do rooms have hairdryers?
Yes, all our rooms have hairdryers, lots of plug sockets and full length mirrors too.
Do rooms have an ironing board?
Yes, all our rooms have and iron and ironing board.
Is the hotel doggy friendly?
Yes, we love dogs! Our new dog friendly rooms open this autumn. Talk to one of the team and we can allocate you a dog friendly room. We also will have doggy blanket, bowl and treat for that pawfect night away. We do also welcome dogs in Coppa Club which is the restaurant in the hotel, and you will generally see three or four dogs popping in throughout the day to say hello... or Whoof!
What food and drink is available at the hotel?
Housed on the ground floor of the Great House, Coppa features a long curved pewter bar, original fire places, velvet sofas a seperate work space and booth and table seating. Outside, a large garden and terrace overlook the water. The menu focusses on thoughtful, unfussy, European food from small plates and snacks to grilled mains, sour dough pizzas and healthy salads.
The bar serves carefully chosen wines, beers and classic cocktails as well as new creations. They are open early morning until late at night 7 days a week.
We recommend that you pre-book as it can get very busy
Can I order Room Service?
Unfortunately we do not offer room service at the Great House. We have such a great restaurant, bar and terrace open throughout the day and until 11pm that we are sure you will be well fed and watered. You are also welcome to take food or drinks to your room which you have ordered in Coppa Club.
Is there on-site parking? How much is it?
Yes, there is plenty of parking on site and its FREE.
Where is the nearest Station?
Sonning is a small village with no station or public transport. It is small enough to walk around and there are amazing riverside walks and loads of green spaces to explore. all around. Reading is the nearest mainline Station 10 minutes away by car. A taxi can be arranged to pick you up at the hotel. Taxis are outside Reading Station. The journey each way is around £10.00.
